
Goole Town Cricket Club held their Senior Presentation Night on 11th October at the Clubhouse.
A very entertaining evening took place. The event included entertainment from singer Ed Sutton and a pie and peas supper.
Secretary David Caldicott highlighted the successes this year including the addition of a brand new roller, successful events and plans for bar improvements and upgrades to Sky TV.
The 1st team finished 8th in the York Senior League Championship East League. The 2nd team finished in 8th position in the Ebor Division 3. The Third Academy team finished 3rd in the Sunday league.
Stand out performances for the 1st team came from Ben Shelton with almost 900 runs including 3 centuries. New first team captain Matty Cooper led from the front with over 500 runs and took 39 wickets. Matty also scored a century. Youngster Harry Pierce scored over 700 runs for the 1st team with 2 centuries and he scored over 1000 runs across the 3 senior teams.
For the 2nd team Craig Chafer and Rob Jacobs scored centuries. Tom Marritt took 7 for 30 and Jake Kennedy took 7 for 47
.
For the 3rd team Finlay Turner scored 85 not out and Ashton Smith 81. Mohammad Qayoum took 20 wickets including 3 for 9.

The Edmund Gibbins Clubman of the Year For his organisation and leadership and contributions with both bat and ball for the 1st team scoring over 500 runs and taking 39 wickets this year the award goes to Matty Cooper
There were presentations of century ties for the 1st century for the Club. These went to Harry Pierce, Rob Jacobs, Matty Cooper and Craig Chafer.
