Presentation Night celebrations for Town

Goole Town Cricket Club held its Senior Presentation night on Saturday 12th October at the Clubhouse. It was a very entertaining night including a group and a pie and pea supper.

Club Secretary Dave Caldicott and President Stewart Gibbins presented the trophies and outlined the successes of the year.

The 1st team finished runners up in the York Senior League 1st division and won promotion to the York Senior Premier league. Only one point separated them from the league winners.

The 2nd team finished 4th in the York Senior division 3 and the 3rd team performed well as the mainly young players gained valuable experience in senior cricket.

The Club took part in the ECB’s ‘All Stars’ programme for 5-8 year olds which introduces young boys and girls to the game. Over 50 youngsters took part at Goole this year.

The Secretary and President thanked the officials, staff, committee, members and supporters for their help.
