Cooper & Eastwood Lead Academy Again

The Academy played Driffield on Sunday. Batting first Goole posted 190 for 5 with Matty Cooper making it a double celebration for the Coopers after brother Danny’s century on Saturday for the 2s. Cooper hit 62 in an excellent partnership with Declan Eastwood who scored 52. In reply Driffield were bowled out for 174 inside 31 overs giving the Academy a win by 25 runs and consolidating their position in 4th place. A win in their game in hand will lift them to 2nd in the division, which will be an fantastic effort for the young team in their maiden season in senior cricket.
