Academy Do GTCC Proud

The Academy team got off to a good start in their match vs HICE on Sunday by bowling them out for 146. Josh Walton 3-30 & Declan Eastwood 3-22 were the pick of the bowlers as Goole restricted the much more experienced visitors to a score that was about par for the wicket. Goole's bowlers did very well as they took 8 wickets which were straight bowled and good catches from King and Patrick kept the scoring under control. Unfortunately in the 2nd innings HICE bowled well and cleaned Goole up for 59 with the two Declans, Greaves and Eastwood scoring 14 & 13 a piece.

It was unfortunate that they could not chase down the total of 146, but the good bowling and fielding performance as well as 40 overs under their belts will stand them all in good stead for the season ahead. Goole entertain Gilberdyke at Westfield on Sunday in their next match.
